The musician has inspired a series of hate incidents, including on social media and at schools. 

A report analyzes how rapper Kanye West’s anti-Jewish remarks on Twitter have contributed to antisemitism.

Kanye West’s remarks praising Hitler and declaring “death con 3 on Jewish people” have inspired at least 30 antisemitic episodes across the country since October, according to a Sunday report from the Anti-Defamation League. 

West’s antisemitic rants began in October on social media and grew as he appeared on controversial news programs and extremist podcasts alongside white nationalists. Among other dangerous sentiments, West has spread antisemitic conspiracy theories and engaged in holocaust denial.

Many of the antisemitic incidents tallied by the ADL included vandalism in public spaces. At one Newport Beach, California high school, someone wrote, “Kanye West is right” and “Kill all Jews” in a bathroom. 

Swastikas and other comments in support of the musician have been found in other high schools in Massachusetts and Florida, as well as airports in North Carolina and Texas. Some vandals have targeted Jewish community locations, including a day school in Los Angeles and a synagogue in the Bronx.
