Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw and Ibram X. Kendi Will Host a CRT Virtual Event

Women’s March and MomsRising sponsor a teach-in about CRT featuring keynote speakers Kimberlé Crenshaw and Ibram X. Kendi.

On Tuesday, October 25th, you can join the virtual event hosted by Women’s March and MomsRising called Saving Our Schools: Activating Parents in an Age of CRT-Backlash Teach-In, which will feature keynote speakers Kimberlé Crenshaw and Ibram X. Kendi on the topic of pushback against critical race theory (CRT) being taught in schools. Both Crenshaw and Kendi are renowned scholars and activists in their field, so this is an event you don’t want to miss!

Topics will include:

  • Pushing Back Against Book Bans & the Attacks on Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Getting To Honest and Inclusive Curriculum.
  • Pushing Back on Harmful Attacks on LGBTQIA students and Comprehensive Sex Education.
  • Mobilizing for School Health and Safety – Counseling not Criminalization!
  • Running for School Board!

This information is not just crucial for parents but anyone who wants a more equal and educated society.

Attendees will be provided with a digital toolkit containing resources for taking action and activating their community!
