…Within the past three months alone, state legislatures in both Alabama and Missouri moved to ban abortion outright; other state legislatures around the country have taken similar steps since the start of the year….

It is mostly women of color who will feel the impact of such bans…Recent studies show women of color account for more than half of the country’s annual abortion procedures on average, and Black women specifically account for just over 25 percent of all abortions.
