Book Swap & ABHM Book Club
In partnership with the Milwaukee Public Library, join America’s Black Holocaust Museum (ABHM) at the MPL–Good Hope Branch for an evening of conversation exploring the accessibility of scholarship, activism, and the role cultural institutions play in telling the story of America. The evening will conclude with an ABHM Book Club discussion of Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings by Annette Gordon-Reed followed by a community book swap.

We are pleased to announce ABHM’s June Book of the Month: Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings: An American Controversy by Annette Gordon-Reed. We invite you to join us on June 22nd at 6:00 p.m. for a discussion of the book at the Milwaukee Public Library – Good Hope Branch. Prior to the book club discussion, guests are invited to attend a panel conversation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Following the discussion, participants are welcome to stay for a community book swap.

Please bring with you at least one book you would like to pass along to someone else, and you will receive at least one in return! Books by Black authors or about the themes related to ABHM Book Club’s mission are encouraged.
