Museum of Me: Community Workshop with Milwaukee Repertory Theater

In partnership with the Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s production of August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson, we are excited to invite you to a community workshop series at ABHM!

February 25 | 4–6 PM at ABHM

Join us for a community event celebrating storytelling, legacy, and connection. This program highlights the work of August Wilson and Dr. Cameron, as well as the work of ABHM and the August Wilson House.

Participants will take part in a Museum of Me activity, creating small personal “museums” using magazines, provided materials, or photos and heirlooms from home.

We’ll also close with a screening of Sweet Messenger followed by an intergenerational activity that encourages reflection and conversation across ages.

It’s a relaxed, meaningful gathering focused on creativity, personal history, and bringing people together around the legacies of these two dedicated storytellers.
