Business Matters: Growth Insights & Strategies
This is the third event in the Business Matters series, which takes place on the second Saturday of each month from November through February 2026. Hosted by America’s Black Holocaust Museum (ABHM), the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and Town Bank, this is an in-person session that brings together business owners and resource leaders to talk through the planning, early startup stage, growth challenges, and the pivots that shape long-term success.
Our conversation will feature guest speakers Angela Mallett, Owner of HoneyBee Sage Wellness & Apothecary, and Terese Caro, President and CEO of Legacy Redevelopment Corporation. We will explore how businesses evolve over time, from compliance and set up to managing cash flow, people, and long-term vision. You’ll gain insights into building a strong business foundation, managing transitions like selecting the right location and expanding to a second site, and shaping what you want your business to become.
