DESCRIPTION:Who helps shape our city? What kind of Milwaukee do we want to build together?\nJoin America’s Black Holocaust Museum (ABHM) and the Wisconsin Black Historical Society/Museum for an exploration of civic voice and community action through the work of Dr. James Cameron. Discover Dr. Cameron’s writings to Congress, his pamphlets, and other examples of print used as a form of protest, advocacy, and change.\nInspired by this legacy, we are inviting young people across Milwaukee to create their own “Letter to America.” Through essays, videos, artwork, spoken word, and other creative expressions, Gen Z participants are reflecting on history, responding to the present, and imagining what our next chapter could become.\nThese letters are more than reflections.
