DESCRIPTION:For Fair Housing Month in April, the Washington Park Branch Library will be hosting the traveling display Crossing the Line: The Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches of 1967-1968, provided by the Wisconsin Historical Society. To celebrate this exhibit, attend an informative panel discussion on the Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches. This discussion will be moderated by Mia Phifer, the Senior Education, Collections, & Outreach Coordinator at America’s Black Holocaust Museum. Panelists include:\n• Dr. Derek G. Handley, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee• Reggie Jackson, award-winning journalist and internationally renowned expert on race relations• Dr. Robert S. Smith, Marquette University\n\nHow do citizens work for change when faced with injustice? How can individuals make a difference?
